S.I. Burge
Burge is an Oregon-based writer. She writes stories about processing trauma, finding yourself, and never giving up, with a focus on strong, independent women discovering their courage without losing what makes them uniquely themselves.
Before writing Stone & Dagger, she wrote a youth blog for the Matthew Shepard Foundation about navigating coming out at a young age in Utah. Burge has a deep love for education and graduated with her Master’s degree while writing her debut fantasy novel. She now lives in Oregon, where she spends most of her time chasing her two yappy dogs along the coast with her wife.

Burge is endlessly drawn to strong female protagonists, magic, and the deep burning desire to create a better world.
Her shelves are full of stories across every genre, but she remains most inspired by hard-hitting, moody protagonists and equally moody worlds.
Unique Perspective
Burge’s perspectives are shaped by continually pushing beyond what feels comfortable. Doing life scared, enveloped in the truth that life is intrinsically magical.
When she’s not creating worlds, you can find her in the forest, along the coast, or soaking up the PNW air, dreaming about what she’ll be creating next.
